History of Negarestan Museum Garden
It is built in the beginning of 18th century in Qajar era as the summer hotel for the King Fath-Ali Shah Qajar and his family. He used to go to this place before his journeys in order to ask his anthologies about the luck of the trip. Clergies and dorks came to this garden to support the king for his trip.
Many famous artists were here for a while namely ‘Mirza Jani Naghash”, “Mirzababa Isfahani” and “Abdollahkhan Naghashbashi”.
When they built it, it was out of urban area. In time of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, they enlarged Tehran urban area. Years later this garden was dedicated to Ministry of Justice for one year. In Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar time they turned it to a school by employing a Belgaum teacher there.
Years later, Ministry of Education by help of Nikolai Markov based on Iranian architect patterns, built three new building in this complex such as “Dar-ol Moalemin Ali” which means a place for best teachers.
Then they lunched some important course and classes in this garden such as Geometry or foreign language and literature. Even the University of social science was here for a while too. After a while, the government decided to destroyed this place that fortunately a writer named Ruhool-Amini wrote and article in newspaper and prevent this placed to be destroyed and thy repaired it instead.
Design of Negarestan Museum Garden
Now this garden is located in the center of Tehran now which is accessible via subway and other means of transportation. It is full of trees and some buildings which are built during time.
This complex is built in Kiosk architect design pattern which is prefect for summer time. This garden has 64 rooms in itself in four main hall, library with four hall and 600 squire meters base. Also there is a mirror hall which is special. There are two main building called “Delgosha” and “Ghalamdan” with wooden doors.
When you decide to visit Negarestan Museum Garden, you will visit some painting and statue museums, a private gallery, a garden full of trees with calmness atmosphere and a café and restaurant. Don’t worries and wonder around because the restaurant inside the great is really perfect and you get the chance to toast Iranian food there too.
